A State-owned Corporation had implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (D365 FinOps) as its new ERP system which used D365 FinOps PowerBI reports to deliver summary information. The company found generating insightful reporting using the new ERP to be a challenge on two fronts.
Firstly, out of the box reporting did not match the organisations operating model, and was visually unappealing. The business had specific reporting requirements which weren’t met by the standard reporting functionality in D365 FinOps. The standard reports gave the business limited information and limited ability to make specific enquiries.
Secondly the mechanism by which you could edit and manage the reports was not clear and the organisation needed someone to overcome this barrier and turn it into a routine process.
